tripadvisorWe visited for a friends wedding. The elevators are broken and we had to use the service elevator, not a big deal. Just because it's a service elevator doesn't mean it shouldn't get cleaned occasionally. The eighth floor looks like it recently flooded. The wall paper is peeling off revealing so much under it. The carpet in the hall is wet and moldy. The carpet in our room was damp. The entire place smells like mildew. Other guests said the air conditioning didn't work on the ninth floor and above. The staff is aware and does not care. The ceiling above the slimy pool is covered in mold. This is not the quality you expect from Hyatt.
MoreRoom floor hadn’t been cleaned. Last persons forgotten personal items were left in room on floor between bed and windows. A/c didn’t work. No one answered phones. No one at desk Engineer never came to fix a/c . Stained mattress on pull out. Food remnants in pullout bed. No sheets for pullout. No hair dryer. Elevators not working, tiles falling off in bathroom under cabinet. Handicap room on 5 th floor for someone in a wheelchair with risk of no elevator?!? Horrible stay. I feel so bad for the couple that got 30 rooms for their wedding guests. It is totally not their fault. It’s a Hyatt who would’ve thought this would happen. Multiple complaints and government agencies have been reached out to since that weekend by multiple guests. Wedding was off property thank goodness!! I only took a few pics. I was just done. I also have a video of me trying to call every maintenance, room service, front desk button and the hotel phone number on the phone and no one answering…
MoreWe made reservations in July 2026 for a wedding, staying with the mother of the groom. At 10am the day of arrival, we were advised the elevators were down. As we were traveling with my 89-year-old Mother, this was unacceptable. Unfortunately, due to the last-minute notice, other accommodations were unavailable. They did make one elevator available; however, this was to serve the needs of the entire hotel, including housekeeping. Inconclusion: entirely unprofessional for the cost of our stay.
MoreAn Absolute Dumpster Fire of a HotelLiterally the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at, and that’s saying something. The rooms look like they haven’t been updated since the invention of the internet, and the beds are apparently designed for toddlers, not actual human beings. The elevators? An absolute joke. Be prepared to stand around for 30–45 minutes waiting for one to show up. At this point, I’m pretty sure hiking the stairs with all our luggage would be faster, even if we were staying on the 20th floor. Then there’s the pullout bed. Asked for sheets because, apparently, providing basic necessities isn’t part of the hospitality experience here. That was 40 minutes ago, and I’m fully expecting to have to put on my shoes, go downstairs, and retrieve them myself. Maybe I should just start working here since I seem to be doing everything else. And because this place clearly hasn’t mastered the concept of customer service, our hockey team is scattered across different floors instead of being placed together. You know, because coordinating a team of kids during a tournament isn’t already enough fun without adding a hotel-wide scavenger hunt to the mix.Honestly, if we weren’t here for a stay-and-play hockey tournament, we would have been GONE already. Unfortunately, we’re stuck paying to participate in this hospitality experiment gone horribly wrong. Oh and my daughter went to take a shower and water was shooting out the side of the shower head flooding our bathroom. So much fun! Hyatt Lisle, you have officially set the bar so low that the broken elevators might actually be able to reach it. Between the outdated rooms, ridiculous elevator wait times, lack of basic necessities, and complete failure to accommodate our team, this place has been one disappointment after another.Save your money, save your sanity, and book somewhere else. The only thing this hotel has going for it is making every other hotel you stay at afterward feel like a five-star resort.
More2 of the 3 elevators were out of service causing delays. Outlets in room non-functioning. Only one ice maker for 14 floor hotel. Strong chemical odor on my floor. Restaurant had no staff during dinner time to place an order with.
