The best hotel in Akron? Well i dont know about that, but it certainly was a lovely, modern building and a clean, comfortable room. Breakfast is not included, and it seemed rather sparse anyway for $15 (or Ala carte off the menu). But thankfully it was not needed for us and there is a Starbucks on the other side of the parking lot for coffee. Gym is small but nicely equipped. There is a pool but i did not use it. Parking is ample and there were no issues trying to find a spot. Staff is nice but dont ask about the Goodyear building next door because I had two employees overhear and they ran up to talk at length about it, haha. I dont know the next time I will be in Akron but I would stay here again if I am.

Unfortunately this is kind of petty but I felt pulled to write this. This may just be an Ohio thing but not once in my 5 interactions with daytime staff did I get a thank you a your welcome or a return Smile. it was super weird. From the front desk people, to the kitchen and wait staff, to the maintenance.But the night audit/front desk gentleman said it a few times when I came in. I especially found it weird because I am super nice and always say them and always smile. Another thing is: I appreciate the breakfast options but take one look at the breakfast menu and ask yourself, if you are allergic to wheat flour and dairy, what is there to eat on the menu? --zip, zero, nadaIt's difficult to keep shoveling out money to a hotel you are a member of, but can't ever eat the food then have to make a second breakfast stop for half your family because we simply cannot eat anything they offer. I would give this hotel 50 stars if I could. The staff was amazing. Room was clean, cool/heat worked great. Pool and hot tub very nice. Cool, affordable breakfast buffet, great staff. They just do everything right. All staff I encountered were amazing. I will stay there every time I drive through Ohio/across country. Thank you! Plus, the area of Akron near the Goodyear center, with interesting history, is a fun side trip to any roadtrip.

I was in Akron with three friends for a convention. The price per night was reasonable and the location was centrally located, easy to get to off the highway and had a well-lit, free parking lot. We booked two rooms here and we VERY impressed with how friendly and attentive ALL the staff were and that the entire hotel was so clean. Our rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and we even enjoyed some time in the hot tub and pool. We ate dinner Friday night and breakfast Saturday morning at the hotel and again were impressed! The variety & quality of food was really good and very reasonably priced. Their bar was well-stocked and had a good vibe. Our server Natalie took care of us for both meals and she was terrific!!! At check out, I spoke with Thomas, the Assistant General Manager, and told him how satisfied we were with our entire experience. One of my friends works in the hospitality industry and is a pretty harsh critic. She agreed that this property is well managed, well maintained and has a terrific staff team to serve their guests! We will definitely book there again next year for the convention.
