I found this hotel on “hotels.com” as I was passing through the area and unfamiliar with the place. Site read “Ramada inn and conference center” and was rated 3stars. I thought it would be a great place to sleep for the night as we were exhausted from traveling. Worst decision. When we opened the door to the room a very musty, mold like smell hits you like a ton of bricks. I thought “I’ll give it a try, maybe the ac hasn’t been on long?” Walk into the bathroom to see cockroaches everywhere. Mildew all over the shower wall, no toiletries. It was close to midnight so my family and I attempted to sleep in the bed. That didn’t work either. Bedding smelled, and the AC was not cooling. The air it was blowing out smelled of mildew and wet dirty dog. Carpet on floor was very sticky and on the roof you could tell where maybe there was some leak and they never fixed it. If this wasn’t bad enough, the wall behind the bed was covered in mold. My house was flooded by Harvey so the mold/mildew smell I am aware of. We ended up leaving after two hours. I complained of the issues when we checked out but we weren’t offered a refund nor did they act like they cared at all. That hotel is definitely a health hazard. We were able to get a room at holiday inn down the road which was amazing.

Filthy, stained rugs, doors don’t close properly, ice machines turned off, room keys took three times to make work right. I’m not sure if the place had been sold the week we were there or if no one really cared about cleaning the rooms.

Arriving after dark and with two conferences going on at hotel I expected to be turned away. The desk clerk, Shae, went beyond expectations in getting two rooms adjoining. Smiling, professional, and accomidating she enlisted the aid of Manager Johnson to ensure our wishes were fulfilled. Easy access from I10 and I49 makes for the stressed or busy traveler a quick comfortable place and friendly place to stay. Too tired to check amenities,no comment, but pool available and breakfast was included,

The complimentary breakfast was great. For an additional $3 you could order an omelet the way you wanted. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was comfortable and I loved the lobby and game room. The best stay ever in Lafeyette,
