This tour in Eastern Oregon offered stunning views on trails that were off the beaten path! The devil is in the details, fortunately Nicole navigates every element of her trips like a pro! She works with great BnB partners to ensure comfort, the trail snack breaks are nicely done, the hikes are custom picked for your ability, and there are even other planned activities / options (kayaking / rail ride / farm to table dinner / tram ride to scenic overlook) to round out the whole trip. It was SO nice to have the hard work of planning done for me! All I had to do was pack and show up! Book with Nicole - you won’t regret it!

This tour was so amazing! I can't recommend it enough. Our tour guide, Nicole (owner of Cascadian Journeys!) met us at an adorable coffee shop in NE Portland to start our adventure. We did introductions and she went over all the details of the trip with us so that we felt prepared (and excited!) for the adventure ahead. And she passed out hefty snack bags. After driving through the lush and gorgeous Columbia River Gorge we crossed into what felt like a completely different part of the world into Cottonwood Canyon - a desert full of beautiful and fragrant sage, lizards and other interesting critters. We walked a mellow and lovely trail for a couple of hours, and then stopped for a yummy gluten free, vegetarian lunch by the river. After Cottonwood Canyon, we drove to the tiny, adorable town of Condon and stayed at a super cool, historic hotel. The town had several restaurants to choose from including the fancy hotel restaurant, a local bar, and a drive through diner - we chose the diner for milkshakes and fries. :) The next morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we drove the-most-freaking-beautiful-and-jaw-dropping-drive-of-my-life-I-cant-believe-this-is-Oregon!- route to the Painted Hills, which I kid you not, are absolutely stunning. Earth colors I have never seen before. The painted hills have several trails to choose from, and also some spots to sit and simply admire the beauty. This trip was truly amazing - I could go on, and on, and on. If you're looking to experience a part of the Pacific Northwest that's not teeming with other tourists, and see some of the most amazing landscapes there are to see out here, Cascadian Journeys is your best bet! Can't recommend them enough!
