tripadvisorMy son and I stayed here on our coast to coast motorbike trip. The lady was very friendly, and moved us from room 5, a spacious corner room, when we realised that the extremely noisy hotel boiler was on the other side of the wall. She gave us an even larger room but on inspection not a nice room. It smelt and was dirty, there were very many black hairs in the shower, and on the floor in the bathroom. We were so tired we couldn’t be bothered to ask to move again. The carpet was filthy, and in places sticky underfoot, I got extremely dirty feet walking around! My son cleaned the bathroom floor! There are no coffee/tea facilities in the room. We agreed that breakfast would be provided for the not inconsiderable price she was charging and that I would collect it from her at reception at 08.00. When I went to collect, it was clear I had woken her! After a wait of about 25 minutes and just as we had decided to leave, she did arrive with a takeaway coffee each, and some extremely sweet packaged ‘pastries’ and chocolate cakes. I would not recommend this motel despite its amazing position on the seafront.
MoreMy husband and I reserved a room, when we arrived we waited for 20min for the lady to attend us, then she told us that we didnt had a reservation there and for us to look somewhere else because she didnt had our name on the list, i showed her my reservation number and told us oh well i dont see your name here go and find another hotel. Bad customer service and yes i got my refund back...
MoreThe outside doesn't give you the complete picture. Inside is recently remodeled, extremely clean and family friendly place right on the beach. The rooms have a refrigerator, couch, comfy bed and brand new showers. I would return anytime. It was clean, safe and friendly.
MoreSo, me and my friend, like others, looked up reviews before we stayed the night. All of them seemed okay until we were in the room and continued to read the reviews. One of them said that this place had bed bugs. So, me and my friend searched the whole room for them, found nothing. So if you read that review, disregard it. This is a good place to stay if you aren’t wanting to spend a ton of money. Yes the ac was turned off when we got to the room but the lady turned it on for us and it ran for about an hour and it was freezing in there! So at least the ac works. She walked us to our door and gave us a little tour of the room. She asked us if the room was good enough or did we want a different one. She told us if we needed any shampoo or soap just ask her for it. It wasn’t a bad experience at all. That person that wrote that review about the bed bugs made it a bad experience in the beginning. The bed we slept on seemed fairly new too. It’s not very far from The Spot, a restaurant, which is really good. Walking distance actually. The beach is right across the street.
MoreOpen soap in the bathroom, someone’s left over shampoo in the shower, hair on the towels...gross! We left and the owner did graciously give us a refund.i would not recommend this establishment. Great location however.
