The Nature Discovery Center is set in Russ PItman Park. The Nature Center itself is free to visit and has several fun features, including several small animals. We were fortunate enough to see a baby alligator (only a couple of months old). It was only a few inches long, but when fully grown will probably be around 10-12 feet long.

Very thoughtfully designed discovery rooms and so much for my kids to learn about. We were there near closing time and one of the staff members let my boys help him feed several of the animals, and they are still talking about it weeks later. We will be regular visitors this school year.

Bellaire has preserved a stunning nature center for all ages and interest. Bird watcher paradise, animals in cages as well as in nature, tad poles in the pond and lichens and fungi to explore in a wonderland of plants and trees. Free parking. Great opportunity to visit nature with children.

Went here with my husband 1.5 yr old daughter, my dad, sister, and her 2 yr old. The kids had a great time looking and the animals and playing. It was also very pleasant for the adults. Great place for a warm sunny day as it is completely shaded by trees. This is a free park.
