tripadvisorWe’ve made This Bar our go-to spot nearly every Saturday night, and it’s easy to see why. From the moment you step in, the ambiance exudes a perfect mix of vintage charm and contemporary energy. The dim, cozy lighting sets the mood, and the staff is always friendly, attentive, and ready to whip up a stellar cocktail or recommend a great drink. The cocktail menu is a standout, with a fantastic variety of classic and creative options. Every drink feels carefully crafted, and the flavors are always on point. Whether it’s a perfectly mixed Old Fashioned or one of their inventive seasonal specials, you’ll leave impressed. The bar bites are also a delight – small plates that pair perfectly with the drinks.Lively crowd often makes the evenings even better, but what we love most is the consistency. This Bar always delivers, whether you’re in the mood for a relaxed conversation or a more upbeat vibe. It’s more than just a bar; it’s become a part of our weekend tradition. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great time, amazing drinks, and an atmosphere that feels like home.
MoreThe bar is very good. It is in the lobby of the Tremont House Hotel. The drinks are superb. I recommend an Old Fashion. Usually on weekends they have a piano.
MoreStayed at the Tremont and had to visit the historic bar. Nice whiskey selection and knowledgeable bartender Tom was great. Wife had several different martini's I had an old fashioned and other pours. Met some other folks enjoying the night. Prices were very affordable.
MoreIf you want a stout drink buy a double and if you like MARGARITA'S with salt well bring your own because to put salt around the rim of the glass IMPOSSIBLE
MoreThe 1888 Toujouse bar in the Tremont House hotel in Galveston is just want you want from a watering hole in a grand old hotel like the Tremont. Good bar snacks, great local brews on tap and a friendly barkeep who is knowledgeable about the best local places for food and entertainment. The Galveston Island Brewing Company wheat beer was delicious.
