I have rented bikes all over the world, and this experience, bar none, was the worst. You can not speak to a person, the voice mail always suggests texting. I found the instructions via texts very confusing. In one of the exchanges the texter suggested I may have a language problem and asked what country I was from. When I texted Canada!!! the response was oh, you wouldn't have a problem with English then. Thankfully when I arrived at the storage locker facility, there was a couple there in the same situation. Together we muddled through the pickup...I had to take a bike from his locker since I wasn't given the complete information regarding lock codes and storage locker numbers for my pickup. The drop off 4 days later was just as messy with going over and over (via text) the code numbers, having trouble with the lock and the garage door....According to this person this company has bought out a few smaller companies and this is how they are operating!

As other reviewers have mentioned, this business appears to be a total scam. I paid for an online reservation for a gravel bike, despite the owner refusing to speak by phone and only communicating by a series of nonsensical or obnoxious texts. I should have known better. Sent me several different sets of directions for where the “pickup location” is (supposedly a storage unit - sketchy) and conspicuously went silent when I asked for the code to actually get into the storage area and unit. He never did respond, and sent random nonsensical texts that appear to be from a bot. Even after he asked me to send a photo of my drivers license, which I did (stupidly). After this experience I spoke to other reputable bike shops in Tucson and they all said they have heard so many horror stories about this “business”. I will be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau and have disputed my credit card charge.

Stay away from this company. This review is for TusconBicycleRentals.com and TusconBikeRentals.org - same company, different URLS. There is no physical address, everything is done over the phone with picking up bikes in storage lockers. Never got the opportunity to pick up a bike as the website was having technical issues but charged my credit card TWICE. They reversed one charge but said we used services for the second charge. We are in arbitration to have this charge taken off.. STAY AWAY

I've rented bikes from this company a few times and love being able to text them when I want a bike and be able to go for a ride almost instanteously. It is an unusual set-up but once you do it once, it is very easy. The directions provided by text are very clear. All you have to do is drive to the storage place, take an elevator to the storage space, and select one bike out of a nice selection. Pumps and helmets all there. Then you walk out to trail and you can go right or left (with some ideas provided by bike shop). I'm sorry that others had bikes in disrepair. That would be a real drag but I haven't had that happen with any of my 3 rentals.
