Our adventure today was a three hour jeep tour thru the Diamond Tail Ranch in the Sandia Mountains with New Mexico Jeep Tours We got to see a ghost town, ancient native petroglyphs, movies sets and wild horses. We had a wonderful tour guide, Frank, who said “who needs roads, we don’t need no stinking roads” and he wasn’t joking. Frank's extensive knowledge of the region and the cultures who live here made the 3 hours we spent with him fly by like the red-tailed hawk who cruised over us in a dry creek bed.The highlight for me was introducing my wife to the beauty of The American Southwest. Less than 30 miles from Alburquerque and we were driving and walking in pristine desert areas full of native plants, animals and birds unique to the region.
