I have been hiring motor coaches since 2001. At least 10 per year. This is absolutely the WORST bus company I have ever dealt with. I had hired a bus to take 50 senior citizens to Mackinac Island from Tennessee. The bus limped into town at 8:00 AM and died. So, our folks were told to wait and it would be fixed soon. Two hours later a repairman arrived who did not speak English and worked on it for the next four hours until our group finally left at 4:00 PM. If only they had called a replacement for the broken bus immediately, we would have been on our way, but no. We missed our paid for cowboy dinner at $50 per person in Illinois that night as a result. I wanted them to share the cost of paying for the dinner, maybe pay half and I would pay the other half since I am a Tour Operator. I called the company and asked to speak to the manager, the message He will get back to you. Not once did he get back to me. Never answered my calls or my emails. No one would speak with me. Completely adolescent behavior, a bunch of babies running a company. Taking no responsibility, showing no service at all to their customer. Stay far, far, far away.

‼️All of my coach, teacher, and traveling friends‼️‼️Please Share‼️I do not typically take to social media to speak negatively about a business—but after the past 24 hours, I feel a responsibility to share our experience with JACO Limousine & Transportation so others can make informed decisions. At 10:30 PM last night, the Mountain View Elementary Leadership group—43 students and adults—set out on what should have been an exciting trip. Instead, our bus broke down not once, not twice, but three separate times, ultimately leaving us stranded on the side of the road near the Knott/Perry county line around midnight. At 12:00 AM, we had children and adults standing on a dark, rural roadside with no access to restrooms, forcing our group to use the woods. Multiple attempts were made to contact the company owner for guidance. When the issue—an alternator—was identified by individuals in our group, the response we received was: “that’s what you get when you drive through the night.” There was no urgency, no solution offered, and no effort made to ensure the safety or comfort of our students.By 2:00 AM, with still no support from the company, we contacted our own bus garage director—who immediately stepped up without hesitation and drove out to get us. While we waited in the dark, the incredible owners of a local diner opened their doors at 2:30 AM and provided our students with free ice cream, refusing any payment. Their kindness stood in stark contrast to the lack of care we experienced from the company we hired. We returned to the school at 4:00 AM, unloaded, and tried to rest wherever we could—on floors, in chairs, wherever space allowed. By 8:00 AM, we still had no communication or plan. Eventually, we were told there were no replacement buses available and that we would have to wait for the original bus to be repaired. At 2:00 PM today, we were instructed to load up again and return to the breakdown location with the promise the bus would be fixed upon arrival. Once again, we complied—reloading luggage and students—only to find ourselves STILL waiting. To make matters worse, we were supposed to be at a 1:00 PM Phillies game today. Our students—who even brought gloves in hopes of catching foul balls—ended up watching the game on their phones on the side of the road. It went into extra innings, and yes, the Phillies won—an incredible game—but it’s heartbreaking that this is how our kids had to experience it.In 18 years of travel experience—including 25+ charter bus tours across 43 states and organizing 14 trips myself—I have encountered mechanical issues before. Things happen. However, never once have I experienced such a complete lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability. In every prior instance, delays were handled within hours, replacement buses were provided, and communication was constant.Because of this situation:✔️Our students have lost a trip they worked hard to fundraise for✔️Families have lost approximately $1,100 per student✔️Our school paid $10,000 for transportation that left us stranded for 24 hoursAnd to this point, we have received no promise of a refund, reimbursement, or any form of accountability from Jaco Limo Services. If necessary, we are fully prepared to pursue this matter through legal channels.Through it all, our students have remained patient and positive—at one point even creating a baseball game with a stick and a water bottle. Our sponsor has gone above and beyond to try to salvage this experience. They deserved so much better.I share this not out of frustration alone, but as a warning to others in Eastern Kentucky who travel with student groups, teams, or organizations:Do your research. Ask questions. And please—learn from our experience.I strongly urge you: DO NOT use Jaco Limo Services.

The leadership team in Leslie County Kentucky was supposed to go on a field trip to Philadelphia their tour bus broke down multiple times this transportation left them broke down on the side of the road with no hope of getting anywhere if it wasn’t for the bus garage of our local public school, we would have still been sitting. Do not use. Mtn view leadership team- Philadelphia trip What was taken from these children was more than just a ride home. It was time with family, time with friends, excitement, trust, and a memory they had looked forward to for so long.My son missed time with the people he loves so he could go on this trip. His mother worked and made food to sell at concessions to help raise money. Our family sacrificed because we believed this experience would be worth it. The teachers were excited. The chaperones were excited. The school was excited. The students were excited. These children had looked forward to this trip with joy and anticipation. My son has never been to Philadelphia. He loves history. This was not just another trip to him. This was something special, something educational, something he would have remembered with happiness for the rest of his life. Instead, you turned it into stress, frustration, and disappointment. And the worst part is not only that it happened, but that there seems to have been no real effort to make it right. That is what is truly shameful.Thank God for the staff at the Leslie County Bus Garage who stepped up and took care of our people when others failed to do so. They showed responsibility, professionalism, and care when it mattered most.I run a transportation service myself, and I know this much to be true: if you take people somewhere, it is your responsibility to get them home safely. That is not optional. That is basic duty. That is basic decency. You do not leave people stranded. You do not leave children carrying the burden of your failure. So yes, disappointment is a part of life. We all know that. But this was more than disappointment. This was preventable. This was negligence in responsibility. These kids trusted the adults in charge, and that trust was broken.Do you complete proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicles? Are expectations actually being followed? Because people deserve answers. Parents deserve answers. And these students especially deserve answers. What happened was shameful. It should have never happened. And these children will remember it for the rest of their lives

Tour had 33 passengers on our bus and had flat tire. The tire was a brand new RETREAD tire according to the bus driver. They ARE NOT as reliable as a NEW TIRE!!!How do they pass inspection? The other tire on that side also had wires sticking out all over and was also very worn!!!I was worried the rest of the trip on all 5 BUSES we has to use!!!In my opinion this was totally avoidable!

They are listed on their website as being members of American Bus Association. They are not...they have been kicked out for poor business practices. I have been working with bus companies taking senior citizens out traveling since 2001 full time. NEVER have I ever not been called back to talk about incidents as they happen. I called this company repeatedly. No one ever called me back. This company sent an old tired bus into McKenzie TN that died when it got there. 40 senior grandmas and grandpas were standing there waiting at 8:15 AM to depart. Instead of sending a replacement bus right away, they sent someone who spoke no English to try to fix it. He couldn't. By the time the replacement bus departed it was 3:15 PM and the group missed their wonderful dinner that they had paid for. No apologies. No offers to refund the seniors for their missed dinner. Read the 1 star reviews. They are accurate.
