tripadvisorI did a private tour with a travel agent. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend this business if you plan to visit Memphis. This Queen will ensure you leave knowing much more than you did when you arrived. Knowledgeable, personable, charismatic, and top notch quality service.
MoreThank you for making my first visit to Memphis an unforgettable experience. 5 stars to our tour guide, Ms. Jackie! She was intriguing, funny, delightful, and professional. I learned so much and highly recommend it for EVERYONE!
MoreThis was a must see tour! Ms. Jackie was VERY entertaining. I learned a lot that I didn't know about the history of Memphis, and had a bunch of fun while doing it. Thank you so much Ms. Jackie!
MoreWe took a private tour with Ms. Jackie of ATOP Memphis. This is a must-do! The five star reviews are all correct. The van was super-comfortable, and Ms. Jackie brought the history of the city alive for us. Music spills out of her, and we loved it. She used her talent to illuminate aspects of the tour, e.g. at the Lorraine Motel (singing the song Dr. King requested from Ben Branch just moments before Dr. King was assassinated), driving past the first African-American-owned radio station, etc. We got a super-comprehensive tour of Memphis, learned more than we could ever hope to describe, and felt we finished the tour having made a wonderful friend.
MoreOur tour guide Ms. Jackie deserves a standing ovation for the most entertaining yet informative tour we've ever been on. Ms. Jackie greeted us with open arms and pretty much hugged us with her enthusiasm, creativity, passion and knowledge the entire 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I became so mesmerized by the Memphis afro-american and civil rights history and taking photos in the van, that I actually slid off my seat! We all had a good laugh which helped with digesting the tragedies that have happened in history to innocent people because of racism. It was all the previous excellent reviews that made us want to take this tour and we were not disappointed. We are so happy that we made this choice since we only had one full day to spend in Memphis. We are so glad that Ms. Jackie pointed out The Four Way soul food restaurant where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, B.B. King and Aretha had all eaten at. We went back after the tour and OMG!! The best country fried steak ever!! Thank you Ms. Jackie for giving us a lasting memory. We want to go back!
