This place is awesome and best customer service around. We have bought a total of 15 koi including 2 shubunkin and have not had any problems or issues with fish and they are 4 years old.

We love this place, their have tons of koi to choose from, all are unique and heathy. The place is big and beautiful, many different ponds and landscaping set ups to look at. Peyton was very helpful, he went thur diets, feeding times, and filtration with us, he is very knowledgeable.

My wife and I visited the place at the recommendation of an employee at a local landscape business. I was amazed at the selection of product on hand and the friendly staff. Coming from an marine aquatic experience I recently ventured into ponds and was more than happy to see a local business that was very hands on and knowledgeable in what, how, and why. We’ve been going to Water Garden Gems for years. It’s a nice family owned business and they try to help out each customer. The fish are healthy, they’ve got nice plants and accessories as well. It’s often just a place to go and hang out for the day to walk around and see the fish but we usually leave with something wonderful. We’ve bought many fish there and we’re happy with every one.

We built our first koi pond about 8 years ago. It morphed from the cute little plastic puddle we bought from Lowes to the 8'x15'x4' behemoth we have today. We could not have done it without the help and expertise of Shane and his family at WGG. We have called nearly frantic when we accidentally added too much algae remover and damned near killed all of our fish for lack of oxygen. Shane and the rest calmly answerwed our questions and offered suggestions as how to remedy the situation. We are currently in the middle of a parasite invasion that more than likely came from some fish we bought at a big box store. I called Shane once again and, like Superman, he came to our rescue. I'll be driving out to Marion again today to pick up the necessary medicine for our koi. We have bought (and lost) many fish over the years, but never did we feel that WGG was responsible for them - it was user error. (I am reacting to a previous review) We travel out to Marion about once a season to check out the new fish, buy a plant, or upgrade our equipment. While we would like there to be a more local destination for our purchases, we are MORE than happy to travel to Marion to get the BEST fish and the BEST service.
