Situated on the banks of the Comal river, the Prince Solms Park makes for the perfect spot for numerous outdoor activities such as fishing, scuba diving, tubing etc. The park witnesses both locals and tourists enjoying a pleasant time here, probably even with a barbecue arrangement. Here, tubes are available for rent and you can happily over the river on them. There are adequate benches and picnic tables on which you can accommodate yourself with your family. The 19-acre (7.69 hectares) park also consists of baseball and tennis courts.

tripadvisorParking is expensive during the Summer. but it is the most beautiful park, with crystal clear spring water. Best to go early or late in the day to miss the crowds. Or in the late fall.
MoreJust built a new home in N.B. and discovered the $20.00 Fee for parking at the Tube Chute! Consider this akin to robbery! Higher than Oregon, Utah or Colorado! Wish I had built in San Marcos! Their river is FREE! Even Barton Springs never cost me this much. No breaks for disabled, Veterans or Senior Citizens, just AWFUL. Been coming here for FREE for years, now, Age 82. Enjoying my NEW HOME but not your excessive parking fees and restricted parking on public, taxpayer provided streets and public parks. I PROTEST and am greatly disappointed in local Officials who allowed this TRAVESTY. NEW HOMOWNER, in Myers Landing. Believe We will be driving to San Marcos often.
MoreEnjoyed the park. Rode the train, walked, grand kids and wife did the paddle boats. Grandkids swam in the Comal . to cold water for me.
MoreAn unexpected delight on my morning run through New Braunfels on New Years day there were quite a few people doing some lazy laps in the river and I'd imagine during the summer, indeed you can see all the tubing infrastructure that this place really comes to life. But even in the winter, the walk alongside the river is a delight - the river path is currently blocked going into town where it would pass under a bridge that's being reconstructed. It's also connected into Landa Park if you look on the map which is also really great to visit.
MoreComal is no fun no more. Strict 2 boats with 2 police on each boat. Police standing on bridges watching and making sure not even a water bottle get on the comal. I wonder what happens to those thermoses everyone had their beer in how they refill it or them. hmmmmm smh I dont drink but i sure wanted a water. Watched a teenager get yelled at over a water bottle and decided to leave mine where i just got it from.
