Strauss ECE is a play-based preschool and child care center in Tucson, part of Kol Ami Synagogue, serving children from six weeks through Pre-K. Across sixteen classrooms, teachers nurture each child's development through a stimulating program that encourages creativity, decision-making, problem-solving, and a joy of learning. Age-appropriate activities challenge each child to grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. Our teachers are emotionally responsive, and the ever-changing, emergent curriculum lets children delve into questions as they arise, so learning grows out of real curiosity rather than a fixed script. Through imaginative play and self-expression across a variety of media, children build strong foundations of independence and self-esteem. We offer infant care, toddler and preschool programs, and Pre-K, with full day, mid day, and half day options two to five days per week, plus year-round care and extended hours.
