We looked forward to going to the lake when we found out it’s man-made and there’s supposedly like stone or something at the bottom. We got there and it was dirty brown kinda water. It felt grimy stepping in. It’s not the worst but I’m picky with swimming areas so I didn’t like it. Left with muddy slides.

I would rate this park a 0 but that’s not an option. I was walking into the park after being dropped off just outside of the park deciding that I didn’t want to go to the grocery store with my boyfriend. I was told by one of the park employees to get my a$$ out of the park. He then proceeded to call me a c*nt. I can not believe how disrespectful and horribly rude he was. I will be filing a formal complaint with Texas Parks and Wildlife.

We had family from out of town at our two sites near the water. We had a great time at Potters Creek Park. Wally and Esther at the park entrance were a really great help with all our family members getting in and around the park and made good recommendations for sites and informed us about the America the Beautiful pass! We recommend this park for family camping because of their NO day use policy which keeps only campers with reservations in the park and traffic to a minimum. Some of our family members slept out under the stars and enjoyed stargazing.

The lady at the gate was absolutely disrespectful. My family has never been to this park. I asked If i could come in and do the same 10 minute drive through that Potters Creek, and Cranes Mill allowed so we could decide where we wanted to hang out for the day before our four hour drive back home to Houston. She said we don't do that, ain't got enough personnel to watch you. She then said you can get on Facebook to see photos, or pay the 20 dollars and go in. I asked what if I don't like it, do I turn around and get my money back? The answer was no. I did my very best to hold my tongue in check, especially since this was told to me while her mouth was covered in crumbs from her previous meal. My guess is that they get enough business already so it doesn't matter how they treat you. But they need to realize that their customers are now able to leave reviews and it's not just word of mouth any longer.

We ave been here before when the water was so low that many of the boat ramps were closed . The water was cold as expected in Mid March but not many people around. We saw maybe 4 boats in the 3 days we were here. Very Clean
