tripadvisorI have had good experiences at this studio in the past, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Our private paint & sip event was scheduled for 11:30 AM, but the instructor didn’t arrive until after 12 PM. Another employee repeatedly apologized for the delay, but when I brought it up with the instructor, she denied being late.We had selected a specific painting (attached for reference) that included hills, shading, and details that added depth to the image. However, the instructor significantly simplified the painting, omitting key elements without explanation. When I asked why the full painting wasn't taught, she dismissed my concerns, saying it was just ‘a simple circle and trees’ and that we could add the missing details ourselves if we wanted. Instead of taking accountability, she told me I should be thankful we stayed 30 minutes past our scheduled time—even though we started over 30 minutes late due to her tardiness. The final result (also attached) was nowhere near what we agreed upon, and the dismissive attitude made the experience even more frustrating. Given that this seems to be the only instructor, I’m hesitant to return, which is unfortunate because I’ve had positive experiences here before. I hope this was an isolated incident, but the lack of professionalism and unwillingness to take feedback makes me question whether this business values customer satisfaction.
MoreI don't normally complain, but we were disappointed during our paint and sip on 3/20. I treated my two friends to a paint and sip this afternoon, as we're homeschooling moms and rarely get out without the kids and needed a break. I've been to this location twice before and had good experiences, so I thought it was worth the expense. Today the vibe just wasn't there. The lady serving the drinks and demonstrating the painting was kind of rude at times.I asked her if a certain cocktail was good and she seemed put off by my question and wasn't friendly or engaging in her response. She then served me the drink and forgot to add the vodka, but said she had poured it in front of us, which my friend and I agreed wasn't true, she made it in the back room. She did finally add some vodka but again wasn't particularly friendly about it. My other friend ordered a mimosa and was given a different drink than the one she ordered and the glass was half full. I ordered a chocolate whiskey ice cream that my friend paid $8 for. She didn't add any whiskey and insisted it was already in the ice-cream, which seemed untrue. It just tasted like chocolate ice-cream, my friends tried it too and agreed. In the past we were allowed to stand on stage and showcase our masterpieces, but that wasn't offered this afternoon. Overall it just wasn't the greatest experience, and that's what I was paying for. The ambience and mood was not up to standard for the expense of over $100. The owner didn't ever respond to my concerns. It's sad, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
MoreMac and cheese is awesome. All kinds of interesting drinks and great staff. They also have wine ice cream.
MoreThis place does it all - drinks, great food and best of all, a wonderful activity that takes you and your date off the beaten path of typically date activities. My painting was so nice I hung it on my wall...Need I say more?
MoreGreat time. Excellent Mac and cheese bar. Very friendly staff. Fun painting! Been there twice so far and will be back!
