Kru feels like a secret that you want to keep..but you mustn't! The owners have created a fun, edgy place for Montgomerians in that part of the city to gather for cocktails, conversation, and relaxation. Drinks fine and well-priced. Some non-adventurous folk don't feel safe or comfortable on that street. That's why those of us who are need to spread the word.

Great atmosphere and great drinks and nice people. I love that it's smoke free (inside). A quiet, casual place to relax with friends.

Bar is very nice and the prices are great. I had a glass of reposado tequila on the rocks, easily a 15 dollar drink, it ran me 6. I was very pleased.

KRU is one of the jewels of Capitol Heights! The atmosphere is friendly, no strangers here! Mendel & N.D. have created an inviting, relaxing place to have a drink & meet old & new friends! I love the sense of community that defines the Capitol Heights neighborhood!

Drinks of all ilk, friendly staff. Locally owned. Small but comfortable seating. Bar type seating, Small lounge area where accoustical performers also set up. Outside seating with heaters. We dropped in with 7 folks. Sat outside until the November night got too cold, even with the heater, then moveD in. As always, one patron forgot her inside voice in a small establishment which was annoying but predictable. Other than that it was an enjoyable evening. Everyone is welcome at this establishment. One of the nicest things about it.
