Our tour guide, Phyllis, had us at First Bite! She had perfect portions so that we could savor the tastes without feeling too full to try the next bite. Neighborhood history added to our pleasure walking to the next place. Seeking shelter from the unexpected shower lengthened the tour but didn't dampen our good time. The group was small and that added to our ability to ask questions and learn more about the food and the area. this is a food and fun facts tour. I recommend bringing a water bottle with you although water was available at every stop. I'll take another tour from FoodWays when I'm back in Chicago.

We tasted food we hadn’t tried before in places we never would have uncovered on our own. We learned some Chicago history that as natives of Chicago, we had not known. Phyllis is knowledgeable, approachable and kind. We highly recommend!!

What a great tour! Had lived in Chicago before but was not familiar with most of the stops (and the history/food in Argyle in particular). Phyllis was a very knowledgeable guide and knew everyone along the way, which made for an even better experience.

My husband and I just spent a lovely (and delicious) afternoon with Phyllis, exploring new-to-us neighborhoods and foods. The tour was a perfect balance of learning about the area - through stories and sites that brought the cultural history to life - and sampling signature dishes at a variety of cafes. Phyllis has a wealth of knowledge on both scores, and an engaging, relaxed manner. She brought a personal touch to the experience, even introducing us to some of the restaurant owners. We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to expand their horizons!

Not your average Chicago food tour. Do not book this tour if you are looking for hot dogs and pizza (both which I really like), do book this tour if you are craving the different and unexpected! Loved walking the Andersonville area and finding quaint shops and delicious restaurants. Phyllis (owner/guide) is super knowledgeable and a true foodie. We sampled food that we normally would not have tried and glad we did. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
