We recently traveled to Spain with Walking Connection to hike the Camino de Santiago. What an amazing experience. The trip was planned and executed flawlessly from start to finish, including pre and post trip extensions. The Walking Connections guides and in country staff made sure food, lodging, transportation, and excursions were first rate.

I had such a wonderful experience on the Northern Spain Camino de Santiago tour. The ten day tour took us from the Pyrenees through La Rioja, Burgos, Leon, Llanes, Astorga, and Lugo. I was consistently impressed by the quality of the hotels, lodges, and paradors. Our guides were exceptionally knowledgeable about the local history, flora, and fauna, and I particularly enjoyed learning about the uses of various native plants. The meals were another highlight, offering a great selection of flavorful local dishes and wines. Additionally, the afternoon walkabouts with local guides provided valuable insights into the towns and historically significant buildings we visited.

We hiked the Camino in Spain with walking connections. Sylvia, our trip leader, and our hiking/local guides were all fantastic. The trip was exceptional in every way. Delicious food and wine, beautiful accommodations, seamless travel connections, and of course, picturesque Spain! We would highly recommend this trip to any of our friends and family.

This was a trip of a lifetime!! It exceeded my already high expectation.Walking Connection provided us with all the preplanning information we needed. “What to know” and “What to bring” all sorts of really helpful information so I arrived feeling prepared for anything. We started in Uganda with a gorilla trek. An experience never to be forgotten!! The encounter with the gorillas was amazing. We got so close you could touch them. Our rangers, guards, trekkers and porters ensured a safe and meaningful experience with these amazing creatures in their own habitat. I’ll never forget it. Then off to Tanzania to the Ngorongoro Crater. We stayed five minutes from the entrance so we were able to see the animals as they started their day. We saw the Big Five although the black rhinos were roped off in a conservation area. After a few days enjoying the crater we went into the Serengeti Park. It’s impossible to describe how I felt watching these animals live in their own natural habitat! Just amazing! Every day on our safaris there was yet another surprise. We would think you can’t top that and then another animal experience would unfold. We saw every animal (every cat) at least twice. We saw babies of all almost all the animals. And so many birds I lost track.Walking Connection thought of every detail and took care of all our needs. Along the way there were extra touches/surprises. A full breakfast in the bush with our own chef making us eggs and tables with linens! Cocktails on the crater for sunset and our last evening we had our own Serengeti bar in the bush. Thank you for making my trip special and memorable!
