When your group spends the night aboard the USS Lexington you bunk where the sailors slept!
LEX
USS Lexington Museum Historical Museum ·$$

The USS Lex was once used in military expeditions throughout the world, but today it functions as a floating museum. It is docked pleasantly on the Corpus Christi Bay, and it's quite impressive to see from any angle. To board, you are whisked away in a free shuttle that takes you right to the ship's hangar entrance. The tour allows visitors to see the flight deck, the control and navigation rooms and even the captain's quarters. There is also a mega-theater on board as well as a flight simulator and an interactive exhibit entitled 'Virtual Battle Stations'.

Excellent day. So much to see and explore. We were there for 6 hours and could have read so much more. Lots and lots of steep narrow stairs. Not sure how you’d see the levels if you weren’t able to navigate them.

This is a massive ship, so plan several hours to tour it. The educational and historical displays are amazing! There is a map provided with ticket purchase, but we found it easy to follow the route from one area to the next without the map. There is a small food service area, but we did not eat there. A very interesting excursion and well worth the price of admission!

This was a small ship and lacked the history of Lexington. The movie did not give any history of the Lexington. Wasn’t a bad experience. Staff on the ship wasn’t very friendly which was disappointing

We got to the USS Lexington early afternoon. You do have to pay a nominal fee for parking. Chuck, one of volunteers did an amazing job with his knowledge and reverence of military history on the flight deck. The amount of aircraft on the flight deck and the areas available to explore make this a truly remarkable experience.
