MoreGreat staff and quiet stay. Rooms are comfortable, and more importantly quiet!
MoreExcellent Hotel. Very clean and everything was great!!
MoreWe have stayed in a number of Homewood Suites locations over several years. Most were very good experiences. We were unpleasantly surprised by the very lower level of quality at the Frederick MD location. Tellingly, when I mentioned our concerns to the front desk staff they observed that they had heard the same concerns from other guests. We will not return. Our suite was much, much smaller than any we’ve experienced before. It was listed as available for up to 4 guests (using a sleeper sofa), but there was only one chair at a very small table and dishes and silverware for only one meal for 2 people. There was no detergent for the dishwasher so there was no good option for more than two servings. The only other seating was a very small, uncomfortable sofa. The carpeting was dark with a busy pattern, very thin and rough with torn spots. Our “accessible” room had appropriate bathroom fixtures. But the room was a long, long way from the elevator, making the room not readily accessible. The breakfast options were very limited. The hot items were the exact same, unappealing dishes each day, including very watery scrambled eggs. The cereals, yogurt, and waffle iron provided necessary relief. Oddly, the seating area was large, but the food service area was small and cramped. Crowded when only a few people were trying to get their food.At least one of the exit doors was very hard to open. This could be a hazard in an emergency when seconds count. The carpet on the long corridors is a dizzying large chevron pattern. On the plus side, the hotel is in a convenient, quiet location. The front desk staff were courteous, friendly, and competent. Public spaces are attractive and clean. The bathroom in our suite was clean and the towels were good. The elevators were reasonably fast.
MoreLocation was nice near shopping, downfall is the railroad tracks in the area and the 2:30 A.M. train that came through, being near the highway road noise was very loud. Room was very clean, the bad part was the contential breakfast which didn't open on time ( was 10 minutes late ) had to go up to the front desk to get the breakfast doors open. The breakfast was horrible beginning with the scrambled eggs and the sausage sandwich thing was horrible.
