Founded in 1995 as a cooperative artist's studio, the gallery gets its name from the Kress Five and Dime shop that was the former tenant of the building. Today, this non-profit organization aims to advance and cultivate contemporary art in South Texas. Various special exhibits are organized throughout the year, where guests will see paintings, sculptures and multi-media works on display, everything created by local artists. Be sure to visit the gift shop for one-of-a-kind, hand made souvenirs and small pieces of art.

MoreAn interesting and varied display of talent. Worth the time. Very exotic and eclectic displays. A good way to spend a hot afternoon.
MoreK Space Contemporary does a wonderful job of bringing art and local artists to the community. This year's Dia de los Muertos street festival and K Space's accompanying exhibit was unique, interesting, and inspiring-- and a fantastic time for the whole family. We enjoyed all of the pieces exhibited and the heart that went into the entire event. This is such a gem in the heart of downtown Corpus.
MoreLooking for South Texas local art? Search no further than K Space. This gallery is top notch when it comes to exhibiting local artists. I'm always impressed at the creativity of the artists featured in the gallery. If you're in town on the first Friday of the month, make sure to stop in during ArtWalk. And if you've never been to the Dia de la Muertes Festival, put it on your bucket list. It's worth every minute.
