One of main attractions in Corpus Christi, the Texas State Aquarium is a sought-after favorite in this part of Texas. Located on Corpus Christi Bay right next to the entrance to the USS Lexington, the aquarium is a cool refuge away from the sweltering summer heat. The exhibits feature local sea life as well as exotic animals from all parts of the world. One of the other highlights is the dolphin training demonstration, it is held at varying times throughout the day.

Reviews
tripadvisorWe were very disappointed with this aquarium. The $50 per person (plus limited parking) was way way too much for what they offered. So many of the exhibits had no occupants. The only thing saving my review from one star was the Flamingos. They were beautiful.
MoreThis is a pale emotion of a similar attraction located in Galveston, the Moody Aquarium. The jungle portion is quite small and doesn't have very much of anything in it.The aquarium portion is small and also doesn't have much to show. The admission is by purchase of tickets on a cellphone only. Human interaction is completely eliminated. At around $50/person, this is a tremendous ripoff.
MoreWent to the Texas State Aquarium during a recent first trip to Corpus Christi with a friend. WOW! Great educational facility to learn about marine life. The sand sharks and dolphins have excellent above and below water viewing areas. The otters and flamingos were very entertaining. The colorful macaw and scarlet ibis brightened my day. It’s a wonderful attraction for all ages.
MoreAdmission was way too high for the number of exhibits. There were a few big tanks and some smaller tanks, along with a few rooms dedicated to different habitats. But, it seemed like food and drink snack bars outnumbered animals exhibits. There was way too much empty space, food shops and gift shops for the building. We did happen to catch a dolphin show nd that was pretty cool. But really, that was about the only thing good.
MoreTook my family 19, 16, 14, 11, 5 and my wife and it was with a discount from another zoo membership $290. So, without discount the discount, $580 to go in. Charging 14 and 16 adult prices is weak. Overall, way too expensive.
