tripadvisorAs the other reviewers said, the staff was helpful and thorough, the room was private, and I felt completely safe in the environment. We had asked all the sanitation questions when we bought the gift cards at the Women's March. The floor of my float tank felt a bit slippery, and the overhead light that comes on to alert you it's time to leave did not stay on. So it was a bit precarious to navigate while trying to exit. Also, I was expecting more in the way of amenities, like lotion for use after the final shower and a mirror to make sure I was put back together before exiting. Though everything was clean, and presentable, this is not a spa experience.
MoreI found this on trip advisor and tried it out! The experience was nice and relaxing but different for an on the go always busy single mom. I had to remind myself to clear my mind and relax my body several times!! The girl who worked there was so awesome. I wanted to see the sanitation process the website described and she showed me and answered all my questions. After I felt refreshed and relaxed. It is something that seems like will get easier to do as their website says as far as clearing your mind and not thinking about what else you could be doing. I will go again!
MoreSome people refer to this as sensory deprivation. I did not feel deprived of anything! One hour, floating effortlessly in the dark, no sound. Where else can you experience such an opportunity for complete relaxation? This is not a closed tank. You are in a dark chamber, about 10'x6'x10'. You can leave the door open for light, as you are in a completely private room. I found it to be an extension of my meditation experience. The owner is very helpful with questions, as is the website. The price is very reasonable. I'm so glad I gave this a try! You will be, too.
