Denver's Tattered Cover is a rarity these days - a large, successful locally-owned bookstore chain. The Aspen Grove store is the newest, opening in 2015 as effectively the replacement for the Highlands Ranch store. Unlike the other two large Tattered Covers, Lodo and Colfax, the Aspen Grove store doesn't have a coffee shop (although there is a Starbucks in the same shopping center). It also is perhaps a little smaller in square footage, but we actually like it better than the others as we more often find interesting books here (the stock does vary somewhat from store to store) and being away from downtown it is a little easier to get to during high traffic times on weekdays.
