Kettle Cove State Park is small compared to Crescent Beach State Park, which is just around the bend and visible from Kettle Cove. It has a small beach, a grassy area with a few picnic tables, nice views, and a tidal pool that little kids love. There are also a few trails from the park through the woods. We went right after Labor Day Weekend and it was very quiet, with only a few locals and some fishermen.
