Went for a stroll through the park and enjoyed it quite a bit. Very nicely kept! This wasn't what I was expecting and enjoyed the break from the downtown area.

Nice park in the middle of the city. Very good trails with excellent markings. It was not at all crowded, even on a weekend. A nice way to spend an hour or 2.

Very nice park to experience the South Texas flora. Nice to see butterflies and bees in February. Quiet nature walk on wide well maintained and marked trails.

We very much enjoyed being at the Center. There were nice paths and most of all, a very informed park employee who leads morning tours. We didnt know about the tours in advance, so this was a very special treat. (Admission is free, w donations accepted,) I recommend a visit - and a donation!

My wife and I were looking for a place to walk while we were in McAllen Texas and went to the McAllen Nature Center. It was a wonderful place to go for a walk. There were plenty of paths to walk, a playground for children, and lots of wildlife and nature to see and explore. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a walk at whatever pace you walk at, I would recommend the McAllen Nature Center.
