wow this used to be the place to go. this style mall is dying. I dont get it we don't have the weather for the open-air malls and I guess the shop lifting really hurt them. Someone said once the bus route changed the shoplifting got out of control ... they had gangs of people rob them blind. there are still some stores but many we liked are long gone. The stores that take their place are meh dont know how they stay open because they are junk. hate that sears left .. that was the place never thought would go and now theres a church inside. I toured it but the volume was ridiculous. mostly come here to mall walk in bad weather.

The death of the American mall is because people obsessed with lazy online shopping and being antisocial. Dayton Mall has 5 anchors including Macy's, JC Penny, Dick's and Morris Furniture, Crossroads Church (in the former Sears) as their anchors. The only current anchor vacant is Elder-Beerman which is not owned by the mall . The former Elder-Beerman is for sale only at 4.6 million dollars.

Since Covid, a lot of stores have closed. It isn’t as nice as it used to be, but there are still some good stores and room to walk.

No wonder Amazon is the go to for shopping. Only Anchor storesj are JC Penney's and Macys. Penney's is better than the Macy's are this mall. Macy's is the pits. Good restaurants are outside the mall. Inside the mall. They have Chix Filet Auntie Ann's , pizza and Chinese in food court. Best stores are H&M, DSW.
