This place is wonderful! The couple who own and run the shop are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! The buckets for mining have lots of beautiful stones and they’re able to help you identify what all you’ve found. They also have beautiful stones and fossils to admire (and purchase). My kids are hoping to go back tomorrow.

Very cool experience. Stopped in with our 9 year old. She had a fantastic time. Holly was an amazing host and source of knowledge as we found various stones and rocks. Exactly what you hope to find in terms of a local small business experience for all ages but especially with kids who need hands on activity

What a wonderful surprise! There were 9 of us with family in town visiting and one of the kids wanted to go gem mining. I had read all the wonderful reviews for this location so we decided to give it a shot and so glad we did. It was hot out so it was nice that we could mine indoors. Didn’t know what to expect and thought maybe this place would be touristy but it didnt feel like that at all. There is so much love in this shop. Holly the owner was so patient with all of us and our million questions. The buckets were beyond a great value and the kids and adults all had a great time sifting through them. We purchased a large $100 bucket for 5 people and everyone walked away with a significant amount of gems. Holly had genuine enthusiasm for everyone’s finds and made all of us feel as though we found something special. We spent so much time looking around the shop and having Holly answer our questions and she showed us a petrified dinosaur egg. That was AMAZING! You can tell they love their shop, business and the community. We look forward to more family and friends visiting so we have an excuse to go back.
