I lived at the Tannery for six years. It was a living Hell from Day 1. Rude and Noisy Neighbors. A Psychopath started harassing and threatening me. Nothing positive happened with my Art. I hated this place. I inherited money and left California for good.

We went to Tannery Art Center. This is also an area where people live. There is a cafe called Bistro One Twelve. There were a variety of studios - most were open when we were there. We enjoyed seeing the art. There are interesting large art work outside such as Spirit Nest - artist Jayson Fann. Its interesting to watch the artists at work. There is a performance hall which has shows. its a pleasant place to go if one enjoys the arts. The name Tannery is as it used to be a leather making facility. There are some historic pieces to see on site such as the dry mill. We also watched people enjoying the exercise facility on site. They offer a variety of exercise and dance classes.

We stopped by on a weekend and assumed there'd be plenty of studios to tour. Nope. There were a few and a few examples outside some of the closed studios. It's a cool concept but it would be nice to see more artwork. There is a small cafe to eat at (we didn't.)

Reverted from the old tannery, homes and studios for artists. Many studios are open for visits. Eclectic architectural interest and mosaics. Also the home of Corrigan Theater.

I've been to First Friday art events and the art is always interesting. The small cafe is basic but good. The plays in the theater are exceptional- I've seen 4 and each was really, really good even joyful, teary, soul-touching good. The food/drinks are also good but I didn't cry for my sandwich- just smiled.
