In pursuit of educational equity, Open Door nurtures and inspires young children of diverse abilities, circumstances, and backgrounds in a child-led, play-based environment. Started in 1975 as the first inclusion-based preschool in Austin, Open Door Preschools is a nonprofit with 3 locations serving the full diversity of our city's working families. We are nationally-accredited through NAEYC and maintain a 4-star quality rating with the Texas Rising Star system. We prioritize enrollment for children with special needs and those receiving Child Care Scholarships through the Texas Workforce Commission.
