tripadvisorWe bought the VIP Lounge experience and it was HORRIBLE. Nothing like it used to be, Lounge is BEHIND the stage ABSOLUTELY NO BENEFIT to purchasing this package, NO SIGNAGE, we talked around the entire venue only to come back to the Entrance gate. Totally ruined the ENTIRE CONCERT EXPERIENCE.
MoreI've seen lots of shows here and it's always a great time. The drinks are reasonably priced and align with average venue standards. What I really love about the Ascend is the lawn seating. You can take a blanket and spread out, or sit in lawn chair rented from the venue. My only small and minor nit-picky thing is that it can get very confusing trying to find your way back in the lawn area. Some numbers or markers would be great.
MoreThis is my favorite amphitheater and venue to see shows. Its my 2nd time seeing a show here. Once I had a seat in the 100's section and most recently I stood in the pit. The space between seats is better than any other venue. People can enter/exit rows without bothering others in the row to move. The pit was great. I'm only 5'2 & stood towards the back of the pit and could see fine because of the stage positioning up a bit higher. I have to take a plane to see a show here and pick that over my hometown because I enjoy this venue so much. They even offer free feminine products in the bathrooms!
MoreI have been to Ascend three times now and as a wheelchair user who has been led to the ‘disability’ sections, it’s a nightmare. Only six to eight seats crammed together can see the concert. There are three sections and it’s the same story. One of the disability areas is completely blocked by a HUGE tower used for videography. And, most of the tickets were sold to non-disabled people who didn’t sit in them once the concert started. I’m blessed, though and my daughter took videos of the show so I could see it in its entirety on my own without the tower view. The staff were rude when asked to help out with the open seating issue.
MoreWent for the John Williams symphony concert. The venue itself is clean. There are water refill stations. They are very strict about their policies. Do not try to bring anything in that they do not allow. We saw many people being turned away, especially about their bags. There are lockers provided outside the venue but I’m not sure how much they are. A beer and a water were $30. Make sure you bring your own water bottle. We sat in the reserved seating, and for us it was not worth it. It’s very cramped and the seats are not comfortable. If you are over 6 foot, forget it. You can hear all the traffic and airplanes and helicopters which can take away from the experience.
