*Do not book here if you enjoy nice hotels*We made a reservation at The Huntington Beach Inn via Hotels.comWe have stayed here before and it was lovely but this time round wow what a shambles! Not only is half the hotel a demolition site with fake badly pinned walls blocking off access to areas. Our room a disgrace with dirty unopening windows over looking a broken dirty roof. We also have black painted in glass windows overlooking and easily acxessible into the room next door.When I politely asked to be moved to another room. I was told I would need to pay more even though it's the same style of room- the only difference being the windows open onto a tiny 1 person balcony- which would not be used.Their sea view is only accessible if you stand on your tip toes and lean against the window standing on a chair! Early this morning we went into the parking lot to discover that people are replacing pipes above our vehicle!!! There were no markings to let us know not to park.The workers were uninterested. Couldn't communicate as they only spoke Spanish and noone around us spoke Spanish - so how does everyone communicate??At NO point did reception let us know this work was going to take place or we would have NEVER parked there.When we fronted reception first they said they knocked on our room door - as if we plan to sit in 24/7. They didn't leave a note... we asked why they didn't call our mobile. They don't have international dialling... Your reception staff have zero understanding of their role, untrained and zero customer service skills. They are continously heads down into their mobile phones disinterested in the issues around them.We would like a refund or at least half our money back - we paid over a $thousand for 4 nights stay and would have paid twice that to stay elsewhere if we had known!The hotel looks great from the outside but it's a completely different story from the inside! It is obvious that the hotel has changed hands since our last visit in 2021 and has been undergoing extensive renovation since 2022, but this is not disclosed until you arrive and see the signs at the check in desk.

This Hotel was super close to the Huntington Beach pier and Dukes all of the shopping places etc…Great service and great price! Our room was a King bed on the 3 rd floor, remodeled with a great view of the Ocean/Beach! Nice balcony too! It was our Anniversary weekend and we had a beautiful time!!!

Absolutely awful hotel. Smells like cigarettes and there’s absolutely nothing luxury about the rooms to warrant a $400 stay for one night. They did not give us our security deposit back but claimed they did and told us we just need to talk to the bank. The manager was extremely rude when I called him on the day of our check-in and I can see many people had the same issue with this. There are many other options for stays in Huntington Beach, I’d highly advise against giving them your business

The hotel is really old and the room is awful. They are going through a renovation, so amenities are closed. I would avoid this hotel at any cost. I'm sharing some pictures of the room they gave to me, which are different from the pics you will find on their website.

WARNING !!!!!EXTREMELY LOUD “ALL DAY” BANGING AND DRILLING!!Went for a visit with my son to relax. Arrived to the room in the afternoon, could barely have a conversation in the room, due to loud construction!!!!!Next morning, NO SLEEPING IN!!!! 8:40am drilling, right near to my head!!!! Scared me to death!!!I contacted the hotel via email/website 2 times! No response!We then wanted an afternoon nap…NOT HAPPENING!!! I asked for some type of compensation???Also, the shower would not drain! So gross, a super quick shower is all we got, or the water would have flowed into the entire bathroom!!!!!And it took the water to drain, 40 min. Before anyone else could shower!!!!!!WHAT IS HAPPENING???? I had no warning from the hotel, it would be under constant construction for the 4 straight days, I booked!!!!And no deposit returned!!!!!!!
