The Arboretum, an upscale shopping Mecca located in North Austin, has a much more sophisticated and urban feel to it than you will generally find in this laid-back, low-key city. Located in a suburban area that has seen great growth and development in recent years, many stores and notable restaurants surround this center. Shops at the Arboretum include Barnes & Noble, Chico's, The Walking Company, Z Gallerie, Francesca's Collections The Pottery Barn and several fashion boutiques. Food options at The Arboretum are diverse.

tripadvisorThe Arboretum is one of those Austin shopping centers that manages to feel like a neighborhood instead of a mall, and my May visit with friends was a pleasant reminder of why. The outdoor layout makes the whole place easy to wander, with a mix of well known stores, local shops, restaurants and coffee spots arranged along walkable paths and shaded corners. We took our time, browsing a few stores, grabbing something to drink and catching up without feeling hurried or crowded. The grounds are clean and well kept, there is plenty of seating, and the atmosphere is relaxed even on a busy day. Parking is generally straightforward compared with other shopping areas in town, though it can fill up around lunchtime and on weekends, so arriving a little early helps. The variety of places to eat means a group with different tastes can usually agree without a long debate, which is a real gift when you are out with friends. It is not an adventure in the wilderness, of course, but as a pleasant, polished and convenient outing in north Austin it delivers very well. I enjoyed the visit, I left with a lighter wallet and a good mood, and I would gladly come back for another unhurried afternoon.
MoreIt's ok, some stores. Variety isn't there. Good place to get in some walking. Alot of parking places. Wish there were more places to sit and relax.
MoreWhat a brunch the mother of all brunches not just the food but the staff simply wonderful…a joy feels more like a family than staff…special mention to Chika what a legend - management @Jumeriah you have a superstar!! Elegant charming and just a nice guy!!! Legend status immediately!!
MoreThe Arboretum is an easy place to get what you want. I am not a shopper so their easy access to what I want is appreciated. There is shopping, restaurants of all types and places to just enjoy. I visit The Arboretum often.
MoreNice low key shopping area convenient to the Renaissance hotel. Some chain and local stores as well as a good mix of restaurants. Good walkability and thing to do away from the bustle of downtown.
