tripadvisorHave been here multiple times. The problem is consistency. Sometimes the mani-pedis I get are fine. But this time some of my cuticles were not pushed back and all my nails weren’t fully cleaned. Very disappointing.
MoreYesterday morning my sister, a friend and I went to Adore to get our nails done. They got manicures, and I got a pedicure. They weren’t outgoing or friendly during the manis & pedi, but that didn’t bother us. But then once done, the staff never returned to check on how things were drying. Then shortly after my friend’s nails were painted, the one man in the shop offered to help them out. My friend responded that her nails were still sticky. A minute or two later he returned and again implied that we should go (despite the fact that no one was in the waiting area). I responded that my toenails still had to dry, to which his response was, you have flip flops so you’ll be fine.We really did not feel welcome, and will not be returning.
MoreI went in for the first time for a gel manicure and French tip. When I walked in, a few of the ladies working were laughing and pointing/gesturing in my direction. It was pretty awkward at first because I had no idea why they were laughing or what they were saying! The girl working the reception desk told me to pick out a color and I let her know my appointment was for a French tip. She told me I could take a seat on the waiting area and asked if I wanted a drink. I asked for a glass of cold white wine and that also drew a few laughs. She brought me a glass and then directed me to sit in one of the manicure chairs. Once the manicurist came over, I felt more comfortable. Her name was Don and she did a nice job and would frequently ask if my nails looked ok. Even though the first impression was a bit awkward, I would still go back and give it another chance because the proximity as well as the price was reasonable (gel manicure is $30, French tip is +$5 and the nail kit is +$1).
MoreThis is my favorite spot for pedicures and shellac manicures. The staff are all super sweet, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is chill and clean. My pedis always turn out beautiful and last forever. You can walk-in without an appointment, but it's always worth calling ahead to ensure you don't have to wait. This place is always pretty busy, since everyone else seems to love it as much as I do.
MoreThe day before my wedding, I visited with three others in my party, and we enjoyed mani/pedis together. We'd made an appointment a couple of weeks in advance, since we wanted to make sure we could enjoy our treatments seated together and at the same time, and the staff was ready for us when we got there. We were offered hot tea or champagne, making everyone in our party happy. Lovely job on our nails and toes (although I'll admit a couple of us got nipped by the cuticle clippers, ouch!). Although the spa had a nice steady stream of clients, we didn't feel rushed, and everyone left with very pretty results. We enjoyed a mix of standard/deluxe pedis, and gel manicures for everyone in the party. Nice selection of standard polishes and gels were available to choose from. Parking seemed to be pretty easy to find in the area, in the middle of a workday, with metered parking spaces (be sure to look for a 2-hour spot if electing to do both mani/pedi). The staff were very friendly, and actually talked to us, and not just amongst themselves, a very nice change from the norm! I'll definitely be back!
