Such an amazing place to visit! Wonderful sites to see. Visited the gift shop at the entrance and enjoyed the ladies that work there. Very knowledgeable about the history of the canyon.

One of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been.

We have been looking forward to this visit for months. We stayed up on the ridge right outside the park. The trails we well marked and clear for hikers. The visitors center was full of interesting facts about the area. Palo Duro is like Texas's version of the Grand Canyon very impressive red rocks.

It was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The land is so sacred and special when I slept I had peripheral dreams like I was a child again and felt very safe amazing peaceful land.

We were just looking for a couple hour break during a long drive and found this gem not too far off Rt 40 south of Amarillo, The hiking trails were accurately described with difficulty and time estimate. They were marked well and the park staff person was very helpful in getting us to the trail we chose. We brought plenty of water for the 100+ degree day. We had a picnic on one of the shady tables and took many photos of the beautiful canyon and wildlife. Admission fee was low at just $8/adult.
