tripadvisorThe facility is quite small. Also, the majority of the plants were not identified. We have been to a number of Botanical Gardens and this one was the most disappointing.
MoreThanks Amarillo Extended Stay! We were traveling through and we needed to find a place, that wasn't too expensive and that was quiet cuz my daughter somehow had a stomach bug! And we unexpectedly needed to find a place quiet. This was nice quiet and good prices. Thank you to the staff and Nikki Bowman!!
MoreThough more compact than larger city gardens, the Amarillo Botanical Gardens impressed with thoughtful landscaping, curated plantings, and an intimate, accessible design. A morning visit, before the rise in temperature, made for an ideal experience. The garden’s scale allowed for a more personal connection to its surroundings, creating an environment equally suited for quiet reflection or casual strolls. A worthwhile stop for those seeking a pause amid nature on the Texas plains. 9/10
MoreWhat a treat! The garden is beautiful and in full bloom. I was astonished at the variety of flowers and the beauty of the gardens.Admission price is very reasonable and well worth the price.
MoreThis is a hidden gem in Amarillo. Even on a drizzly fall morning, we enjoyed the gardens and greenhouse. A beautiful Oriental garden with multiple levels and a koi pond was wonderful. We also enjoyed poking around the remnants of the vegetable garden and walking through the squash tunnel. There is a butterfy garden, Palo Duro canyon plantings, herbs and sensory, and so many more wonderful areas around each corner. I can't wait to visit in the spring and summer. The botanical garden is set in a whole beautiful green space area including a stream with ducks, gorgeous trees and plantings, picnic tables, and play areas. These are free, while the gardens are a mere $5. They are located across from BSA hospital and will provide a welcome relief for patients and visitors.
