Saw Ian Moore last night at the Cactus Theater. Ian Moore is one Texas greatest guitarist, so we knew it would be a good show. It was great! Even Ian Moore commented on the energy, he was rocking. We'd been to the Cactus previously, but I don't remember the quality of the venue...the lights, smoke, and sound were great and added to the quality of the show. One down side which we noticed the last time we visited - no room to stand up and dance. I'd recommend they install some removable seats on the sides closest to the stage to remove for dance space for these type of events. It would significantly increase the vibe. Those who want to dance can dance, others can still enjoy the seats. Some folks went to the front to dance anyway, especially towards the end anyway, but it would be great throughout the show.

Came here for a Tech Tones concert and loved getting to talk to the owner, Daryl. First of all we are from Dallas and love live music. But we always go to smaller venues where you can see and hear music as it was meant to be performed. Loved the decor and the sound. My son liked the drinks. . It was a great venue and looking at the billboard lots of great acts. I hope to be back for another show some day!

This place has an old fashioned theatre feel with a modern air about it. The seats are comfortable and concession stand is very good.

The Cactus Theater might be the best kept secret in Lubbock! I've live her 27 years and we have just discovered it this past year. My husband, adult daughter and myself hae now attended several events! Seats are reserved, and prices are reasonable, but in our opinion, it is worth it to get the best seats in the house - the box seats upstairs! These box seats cost a little more, but concessions are included (not alcohol). We have seen tribute bands, and the Pink Floyd Laser Light show which was spectacular! My husband and I enjoy going on date nights to Cactus because the shows end at 9:30, and for us older folks, that is nice! The concession stand serves beer and wine but they do not have a bar.

Cactus Theater is in the Lubbock Depot District and features live performances by local talent and big name personalities. Small old style movie theater format where no one sits more than 75' from the stage. Check the Cactus Theater online for coming events and reserved seats. Great and relaxed way to spend an evening!
