tripadvisorI’ve been to many small zoos and yet I was disappointed by this one. There are very few signs on the enclosures, the staff is not helpful, and mostly it was boring. Even with limited resources I think the zoo could be much more engaging.
MoreI feel awful for these animals. Dirty and desolate caged areas. Most looked hungry with no vegetation to eat. We went on a Wednesday mid morning and we saw one or two workers the entire time we were there. These animals do not get much attention. One of the camels was literally eating the wooden fence either out of boredom or just that hungry. The poor birds in the education center were stressed - one was missing feathers on its back and the macaw’s tail feathers were ratty. They were not happy birds. It was cheap to get in so that is one good thing to note.
MoreStopped here on a road trip to stretch our legs for a bit. It's small but very nice. All of the animals appear to be well taken care of, and they have keeper talks to help you learn more about the animals. I think it was around $4.50 for admission, and they have a small gift shop. It's definitely worth a quick stop. I think we were there for about an hour.
MoreFor the size we were surprised at the number of animals. They had a lot of interactive animals and some neat stickers for sale.
MoreNice little zoo with a surprising number of animals. It took us a little over an hour to see everything with a 3 year old racing through. You could easily spend about 2 hours here and see everything.
