tripadvisorThis museum is free and has a little of everything. Local ecology, dinosaurs, ice age stuff, Native American Art, paintings, and more. I have 2 suggestions for improvement though. One, not all fossil skeletons were adequately labeled, especially the ice age ones. Two, the gift shop book selections weren't related to the museum content. In particular something on Llano Estacado ecology or natural History. Maybe something on art, either ancient or modern, and in particular the art in the museum. And obviously something on dinosaurs or the ice age would be germane. That's it. All and all very good.
MoreThis museum is really impressive. The museum in my city is definitely not free, so even better. Enjoyed the seeing the old dresses from 100 years ago. The interactive Pangea/volcano globe was really neat! Not a huge museum but very nice.
MoreThis was a nice sized and well organized museum. I got a map when I entered, and I was grateful for it since I probably would have missed something without it. There was a variety of things to see, from art to science and historical local displays. The planetarium was closed for classes when I was there.
MoreThis place is very large with a lot of interesting facts to read. A good way to spend some free time in Lubbock if you have it.
MoreTook visitors from Washington State to TTU Museum and Planetarium. They were so impressed with dinosaurs, artifacts, TTU Centennial Display and so much more. Especially enjoyed the nature photographs. What a great way to spend the day. Glad to see the 'Tug of War' sculpture back on display!
