We had one of the best experiences during our trip at this hotel. The staff made the difference in all the departments. Check in was wonderful with the evening staff. Both of them were friendly and very helpful. The morning Breakfast lady, Alisha was no exception. The room was very clean as well.

I travel frequently and have been a loyal customer of Marriott for over 35 years. I made my reservation 6 months ago and did a mobile check in 48 hours in advance. Upon arrival to check in at 3:00pm, no rooms were available for myself and many others. We were in town for a George Strait concert, and this hotel was not prepared. My wife and I along with a lobby full of other guests were forced to wash up and get dressed in the lobby and lobby restrooms to make the show on time. People were shaving, ironing clothes, curling hair, and doing makeup wherever they could. In addition, no outlets were available to charge our phones because they were all being used, as they died mid concert which made getting an uber after the show very challenging. On top of all this, the staff could have made things better, but were very rude and very unorganized. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel. I will not stay here unless it's the only Marriott available my next trip to Lubbock.

The young lady who checked me in both nights was very pleasant and she was attentive: she recognized my Status and upgraded me. The condition of the Property is Excellent: furnishings for the room are in good shape, housekeeping does a good job here, and my room was comfortable. I especially enjoyed my good rate here and the location of the Property: good for work commutes. Guest Laundry on site.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this hotel. This is the second time they have cancelled my reservation with very little notice — both times on weekends tied to major football events. I booked well in advance, and each time my plans were completely disrupted.It feels like they are bumping confirmed guests to resell rooms at higher rates, which is unfair and unprofessional. When you book a hotel, you expect reliability, not last-minute cancellations that leave you scrambling to find alternatives at inflated prices.If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, look elsewhere. This hotel clearly prioritizes profit over honoring their commitments to guests.
