So I took my husband and son here after reading the reviews. Was enthusiastic as we walked up to the front of what looked like a pretty cottage. We went inside and it quickly became apparent something was really off. The store was one small room the size of a large closet. The owner/manager was sitting on a stool and the place was chock full of books. We didn't stay long because there were already 2 other customers, so with us it made 5 customers, 6 people total, way overcrowded. However the selection of books was very unique. This is the kind of place you go to with no specific book in mind, but just be open to what you find. Family survey agreed - no more than 3 people (1 owner + 2 customers) max at once.

I love bookstores with lots of ambiance and this one doesn't disappoint! And, you know, the book selection is amazing too. :) Great place to wander around, plenty of affordable books you know and love, and lots of unusual, rare and older treasures. They buy books too - great local alternative for selling/trading books. I've been here lots of times since it opened, have bookshelves full of things I've found, and I've been happy when I've sold stuff too.

Used bookstores in old houses are the best, and this one in the Five Points neighborhood has everything you could want: the smell of old books, odd decorations, real wood bookcases, and the promise of seeing a book you've never seen before. Also, it's two doors down from a little ice cream shop and across the street from Fanny's House of Music, which is also awesome.
