Having never heard of floating before, when I saw this place I had to check it out. It was definitely a cool experience but I am not quite sure what it was really for. I don't think I was fully relaxed to take full advantage of it but being in a closed off take all dark and quiet for an hour was worth checking out the place. Its a clean room with a nice shower and the water is changed once the session is completed so it was all on the up and up. I might try it again now that I know what to expect out of it

I'm always looking for Unique experiences that I can give as gifts to my family so when I heard about float I wanted to check it out myself. I was not disappointed it was a unique excellent experience. The facilities were spotlessly clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and parking was easy. When you arrive you will remove your shoes and put on sandals they provide, you will check in and sign a release before you float. The staff member will then give you a brief tour of the facilities and explain to you the protocol before you float. Then you are left in your private room to begin your experience. I chose to float in a pool rather than a pod so my experience is based on the pool. You will remove your clothes and thoroughly shower before you get into the pool. One suggestion I have is they could provide a couple extra hooks to place your clothes upon. There are two small hooks but for a blouse and slacks and a purse one or two more hooks would have been nice. Another thing that may have been nice would have been a small chair to sit on while you were getting undressed and redressed. When you get into the pool, you are so buoyant that it is awkward sitting down. Also the water has so many salts in it that it almost feels slimy. I personally turned off the room light but left the pool light on and left the music on. It did not take long at all to lay back relax and enjoy the experience. First you are a little distracted by the room and the things in the pool itself but it doesn't take long to shut those things out and just focus on your breathing and your heart rate. You are truly alone with your thoughts.I floated for an hour and when the experience was over a quiet doorbell sound chimes. A few minutes later it Chimes again a little bit louder, and a few minutes after that it Chimes once more just a little louder. By then you should be out of the pool because shortly after that the filtration system starts. You will want to shower again because you will be crusted with salt once you start drying. Float has a nice finishing room that is available to all customers to dry your hair put on your makeup and make any adjustments you would like to make before going out in public.I will definitely put this in my lineup of experiences to use as a gift for my friends and family.

I was very skeptical before going for a float, but after the first one I was hooked and already have signed up for a membership. First, if you are claustrophobic or don't like the dark it is important to note you totally control your own environment. You can have light if you want. You can have your pod door open or partly open if you want. My first time I had the blue pod light on most of the time and the pod door cracked or fully open the whole time. By my second visit, all lights were off, the door was completely shut and I was so relaxed I fell asleep. You leave feeling so unbelievably refreshed it is just wonderful The facility is really well set-up and unbelievably clean. Each pod is in its own room with its own shower and a lock on the door. Extremely comfortable. The staff/owner are all very nice and do a great job explaining how everything works your first time. I highly, highly recommend it.

My husband and I did our first floats last week and both of us really liked it. It's very relaxing. If you've ever tried to meditate but keep getting distracted by phones, kids, traffic, etc. you should try this. They provide a pillow and earplugs, but I didn't use them, it was comfortable and quiet enough to just float in the warm, heavily salted water. You can also listen to music and leave the light on, if you wish. I can't wait to do this again. I highly recommend it. (When you're done, go next door to the Purple Door Ice Cream shop and/or the Indulgence Chocolatiers shop. Best way to end the Float.)
