This month, I had the fun of flying with Florida Adventure Sports. The 20-minute trip was given to me as a gift, and I have to admit that I was kind of scared about going up in this light aircraft. But, the minute I met the pilot, Gene, and my fear disappeared. He's an experienced, knowledgeable pilot - and he obviously enjoys living! The flight was fun from the easy takeoff to the easy landing. It was wonderful to see our home island from the air and to experience flying at about 1200 ft in the midst of beautiful skies. Florida Adventure Sports does longer flying experiences, too, and I will certainly book one. Anyone who lives on Amelia Island should see it from this vantage point. Anyone visiting Amelia Island should take advantage of one of the most enjoyable, exciting experiences that you can have here.

Best activity out there on Amelia island by far. Well worth the money. Gene put in the effort to reschedule around our other activities, trying to find my wife and I the most favorable flying conditions.

Before taking off your pilot has you feel assured of your safety and also provides detailed instruction about your flight. You can even get additional instruction if you want to learn to fly yourself!Flying over the incredible nature and environment of our habitat is a life changing experience. I was mesmerized by the beauty of our island from above and could have flown in the powered hang glider all day. I felt as comfortable as a bird soaring over the golf courses, the marshes and my favorite landmarks of not just Amelia Island but also Cumberland. Truly there are no words to describe the breathtaking and amazing view you will see in sheer comfort and joy. Seeing the world from this perspective certainly gave me a renewed sense of peace and awe of life itself. There are few places you can experience a flight like this, I encourage you to enjoy this quest - it is worth every moment and is joyous!

Florida Adventure Sports was amazing! It was definitely the most fun I’ve had in a while. The instructor was so kind and knowledgeable. Definitely worth every penny!
