Weekly classes in traditional Shotokan karate, every Tuesday and Thursday 7-8:30pm. We welcome beginners and karatekas of all levels. Visitors are welcome to watch practices. Our dojo is part of Shotokan Karate of America (SKA), a non-profit organization teaching traditional karate since 1956. We are dedicated to teaching and studying Shotokan Karate in the traditional Japanese manner, following the teachings of Master Gichin Funakoshi and Tsutomu Ohshima, Shihan (head instructor) of SKA. All our instructors are experienced black belts certified by Tsutomu Ohshima. NEW! We also teach karate classes at the Presidio YMCA on Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:15-8:30pm. Participants must be members of a YMCA.
