Very small kiosk type store with multiple products. Greeted at the door, but received no service. We felt as if we were intruding. As a Chef, I have come to love the Carolina Gold Rice, that was our reason for our visit. We left without purchasing a single item. You can have the best product; Carolina Gold Rice, but without customer service, it does not have the same value. Visit the markets down town Charleston. Experience was so much better!

I tried the Benne wafers, Charleston Tea Plantation's Raspberry tea and the Fancy Pecan Pralines. The Benne wafers were just plain strange to me but that's my personal preference. To me they needed to be either sweet or savory. Not a mixture of both. The Fancy Pecan Pralines have SO MUCH potential but the nuts tasted rancid. They don't expire until this coming Sept (2023) but they were not good. If I'd kept my receipt I would have returned them. All in all, Charleston Specialty Foods purchases are risky at best. It seems hit or miss, so good luck!ON A HAPPY NOTE, the Charleston Tea Plantation's Raspberry tea was absolutely wonderful! It's so hard to find a raspberry tea that isn't sour or bitter. I first got turned on to this tea at the Charleston Tea Plantation. I highly recommend visiting it!

They have many different things that are South Carolina or Charleston made. I found great Christmas gifts for everyone in my family and for myself.

I had heard about Charleston Specialty Foods on SCETV and wanted to stop by while in Charleston for a mini vacation. What a delightful storefront. I bought several items and have enjoyed them all. The woman who was working that Monday was so nice and friendly. Truly wonderful meeting someone who enjoys their work. The peach butter is fantastic and so is the salt water taffy.

We stopped to get some salty water taffy. They make all sorts of yummy treats and food gifts. We got some locally brewed bold coffee. Can't wait to try it.
