Excellent location right across the wonderful Ferry Building. Near all attractions and restaurants. Hotel was beautiful, staff very attentive, room super clean. We were on 11th floor so the view was incredible. Hyatt did not disappoint and actually went beyond expectations. Highly recommend.

The Atrium is a work of art.Location in the Financial District was perfect for attending the San Francisco Marathon. Short walk and quick access.The cleaning staff was very courteous. We always seemed to be 'about ready to go' when they knocked and gave us the 10 minutes we needed. Also the room was always clean and when we came back the beds were re-made ( tucked in the sheets, etc ). Because it was a sports weekend, they were great about replacing towels.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. First- time SF visitors with 8 and 11yo kids and this was the perfect place for us. The location is unbeatable - a few minutes walk to Ferry Building, waterfront, playground, also within walking distance to Chinatown and Alcatraz ferry. Public transportation directly outside the building. The hotel itself was very cool with an impressive lobby. Rooms were standard, maybe a bit bigger than average. Customer service was excellent and staff was so friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great city: extremely walkable, good urban transit (took BART straight from the airport to the hotel), best dining in the country (after NYC), and mild weather even in summer. A good combination of the past and the future with both historical and modern landmarks.Great people: San Franciscans are generally very helpful to strangers, unlike in other big cities. They project inclusion (even when I went to multiple ballgames in enemy livery) with no animus toward tourists.Great hotel:Location is optimal: steps to the waterfront; the nearest hotel to the Ferry Building (which has lots of dining and shopping, and huge farmer's market on Saturdays). Both BART and the cable car stop right outside the hotel.Awesome 70s style Brutalist architecture and one of the most impressive atriums anywhere, 17 stories high. All visible from the glass elevators.Room furnishings are dated but they pair well with the overall vibe of the place. Rooms are clean, everything works well (really strong water pressure in the shower, a rarity in drought-stricken California) and quiet. My suite had a Nespresso machine and, most importantly, lots of electrical outlets.All staff are friendly and helpful. The Front Desk greet you with a smile and proactively provide an orientation on the features of the hotel. Housekeeping and maintenance also greet you warmly. The Bell Desk is very accommodating: they stored my belongings both before checkin and after checkout. In fact, they also watched over my son's ebike when he visited me at the hotel.Note that it is primarily a convention hotel, so you may occasionally encounter crowds of conventioneers. But this is San Francisco, so think more tech and less Shriner.

I can thoroughly recommend the Hyatt Regency, Embarcadero for a number of reasons. Firstly, there's the wonderful architecture of the building itself; the atrium in particular is a must-see for anyone visiting San Francisco. I found myself dragging in people from the street to go and look at it - they weren't disappointed! If you are able, try to book a room with Club Lounge access, because you'll be able to enjoy wonderful views from the revolving lounge, perched atop the building. The location is perfect, especially for the Ferry Building (I recommend a day visit to Larkspur to visit the lovely little town of Mill Valley), the Embarcadero BART station (especially for access to and from SFO airport) and the Embarcadero Centre itself.
