*NEW: CA credentialed elementary school teachers available for k-5 students* Founded by former Marymount College Math Faculty Member Joseph Tillotson, South Bay Tutors is an in-home and virtual tutor network for Torrance, Palos Verdes, Redondo & Manhattan Beach, and more. We are each proficient in our subjects and in explanation skills. Our web site has a profile of each tutor, and you may interview them on the phone prior to setting up a lesson if you wish to do so. We cover nearly all subjects for K-12 classes, test prep for SAT and ACT, and many college classes such as calculus, physics, chemistry, Spanish, statistics, English comp, and more. There is no block of lessons required; you just pay lesson by lesson and the first hour is guaranteed. Our rates vary from $70 to $100 per hour and depend on course difficulty, in person vs virtual, and tutor education level. Our Torrance and Palos Verdes tutors keep at least 80 PERCENT of revenue collected; as such we attract the very best tutors from all other companies and agencies and have a very low turnover rate among our tutors.
