tripadvisorA wonderful evening for our family of 6 celebrating our 80th birthdays. Great owner/chef and captain. Our 4 course dinner was delicious as we cruised fromLake Union to Lake Washington enjoying the views. This was a surprise evening planned by our sons and one to be remembered!
MoreMark is a local artist and entrepreneur whom reside in Seattle. A deep and wise soul that have had so much success in his many past endeavor. His boat is beautiful and timeless. The boat is breathtaking from every angel you stare from. Every spot on the boat will give you a wonderful and unique view that would captures in your memory like a canvas inside your museum. The food was a 10/10. I would recommend that you ask for about 1 hour of quite and relaxing time while the boat isn’t moving and there is no noice, that way you and your guest can absorb it all in. If you want have a great meal, see Seattle from the water (a must), make a new friend, learn about art, about businesses, about Seattle, about cooking and maybe about life. Book the trip with Mark, you don’t regret it.
MoreFor my birthday this year, my wife arranged a dinner cruise on the Carol M of Enchantress Cruises. Mark Lanfear, the owner, provided excellent directions to the mooring on Lake Union. Carol M is a beautiful wooden ship that was built in 1948. After boarding with Mark's and Captain Dan's assistance, we spent some time with the crew in the salon area toward the bow. After getting to know each other and learning about the itinerary for the cruise, we moved to the upper deck and got under way. We traveled along the west side of Union Lake, passing a number of floating homes, and then went by the University of Washington campus. We got to see the boat house featured in the wonderful book, The Boys in the Boat, which told the amazing story of the men's rowing team from UW that represented the USA in the Berlin Olympics of 1936. Shortly thereafter, we entered Lake Washington, passed under the Highway 520 floating bridge, and then cruised by some amazing lake front homes. Near Bellevue, dinner was served as we watched the sun start to go down. Mark, who has owned and operated fine dining establishments, prepared a fantastic birthday dinner of steak and salmon, with potatoes, zucchini and asparagus. Everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had a wonderful cheesecake with white chocolate and raspberries, one of my favorites! After dinner, we slowly cruised back to Lake Union. In addition to the amazing views of the sparkling Seattle skyline, we passed by the floating home featured in Sleepless in Seattle. We had an absolutely amazing evening, greatly enjoying Mark's and Dan's company, a delicious meal, and a birthday I will not soon forget.
MoreRelaxing dinner cruise with delicious meals. Captain Doug and owner Mark shared history of the boat as well as area history. A celebration of a 70th birthday was delightful and thoroughly enjoyed.
MoreThis was an absolutely peaceful and fantastic way to spend an evening seeing all the sights throughout various lakes in Seattle. We were pleasantly surprised that Mark is a former chef, and prepared an absolutely wonderful fine dining experience for us.We slowly I told around for four hours while our captain and Mark pointed out the history and various real estate sites for us. The boat is a classic 1948 Monk Grandy wooden boat that is beautifully maintained and decorated. It was a wonderful experience. We saw numerous bald eagles throughout the cruise. We will never forget our visit to Seattle, especially because of this wonderful evening dinner cruise. I highly recommend it.
