As a birth doula, I support & provide every mother with respectful & compassionate care so that she may experience the birth in the way she desires. I truly believe pregnancy is a special & sacred time in a woman's life to be nurtured and treasured and that birth is a life-changing experience, not only because of the birth of a child but also because of the birth of a mother and woman! I truly desire to empower women and let them discover their own strength within. My goal is to help you feel confident & comfortable during your birth and to help your family get off to a good start. I offer birthing classes, specifically designed for those planning births with the least number of interventions, including those planning to use epidurals but desiring to avoid other interventions, like C-section, labor augmentation with Pitocin, induction, vacuum and forceps, etc. The curriculum is modern, teaching you how to achieve the birth you want in the present birth climate. I also teach yoga classes, both prenatal&postnatal, as well as regular. My training is rooted in Kundalini Yoga and classes incorporate: powerful, ancient breathing techniques, yoga postures, meditations, and deep relaxation. As a Certified Lactation Counselor, I provide a sensitive one-on-one support with breastfeeding at a privacy of your home.
